Art Works Production

Art Works Production was founded by Antonio Gnecchi Ruscone and Vanessa Guarnera, both experienced and skilled professionals in the entertainment industry. They have been working closely with the most important classical ballet and modern dance companies and with classical and pop-rock musicians for many years.

Art Works Production provides artists and theatres with a consultancy and assistance service on an international scale that includes management and planning, organisation of tours, booking, executive production, marketing, corporate events and television appearances.

Antonio Gnecchi Ruscone began his professional career as a classical dancer, training with Liliana Cosi and joining Carla Fracci company. He then decided to leave the stage to make his know-how available to other artists. He started working next to the leading dancers and choreographers of the worldwide scene including Alessandra Ferri, Patricia McBride, Jiri Kylián, Maurice Béjart, as well as David Parsons and Daniel Erzalow with whom he established a relationship still enduring after over thirty years.
Antonio starts producing outstanding and prestigious classical, contemporary and experimental dance performances, both in Italy and abroad, starring Roland Petit Le Ballet de Marseille, American Ballet Theatre, Marinskij Theatre and Royal Ballet. He organizes theatrical and TV special events, and introduces to Italy the most interesting and innovative companies of the international dance scenario: Matthew Bourne, Mark Morris, Stephen Petronio, Michael Clark, Tero Sarinen, DV8 and Martha Clarke, just to name a few.
Since the early 1990s, he establishes a professional relationship with the legendary Mikhail Baryshnikov and his company, the White Oak Dance Project. He organises the Italian tours of some of his shows including An Evening of Dance and Music with the White Oak Chamber Ensemble in 1997 – Baryshnikov’s first and only appearance on the stage of Teatro alla Scala in Milan – and Brodskij/Baryshnikov by Alvis Hermanis in 2018.

Vanessa Guarnera, Anglo-Italian fluent bilingual, has inherited from her father the great passion for music and singing she has studied since childhood. For over fifteen years she worked, as a freelance, at Rai Radiotelevisione Italiana as an artistic expert and consultant for important TV shows therefore she was in charge of selecting Italian and International pop-rock music guests, and collaborate as a writer and author.
From September 2023, Vanessa is also Head of Music Guests at “Che Tempo Che Fa“, Italian TV talk-show broadcasted live on channel NOVE, owned by Warner Bros. Discovery.

In 2017 Antonio and Vanessa decide to merge their passion and skills for dance, music and theatre into a single reality: Art Works Production, its very name evokes the power of art.
